The Association of Professional Genealogists, with its headquarters in Salt Lake City, USA, is the most important organization gathering genealogists from all over the world. Its achievements are amazing, not only due to the diversity of countries of its members, but also due to the huge variety of specialties they deal with, from forensic genealogy to immigration, going through real estate records and genetics.

Hispanic Genealogical Association – Hispagen


HISPAGEN was incorporated to the National Associations Registrar of Spain on April 26th, 2000. With a huge number of members the entity focus its efforts in providing tools for research in relation to Hispanic genealogy. It has been remarkable for being especially active in raising awareness from the individuals and entites that keep genealogical records, about the need of making them more publicly available and thus enabling more Hispanic descendants from all over the world to get in contact with their roots.

Spanish Documentation and Information Society


The Spanish Documentation and Information Society was founded in 1975. The organization aims at developing tools, resources and an appropriate regulatory frame for librarians, record keepers and other professionals that deal with information and public records. It also actively engages in the representation of these professions before both the Spanish and European Union authorities, being supportive of open government policies.

The Institute for Genealogical and Heraldic Studies of the Province of Buenos Aires

The Institute is the main organization advancing the study and development of genealogical records in the Province of Buenos Aires, namely, the largest and most populated political district in Argentina.
